What is Kiwanis???
Kiwanis
International is a
global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing
the world one child and one community at a time. The primary focus of the organization is to improve the lives of children
all over the world. Thus our motto and the cornerstone of Kiwanis is “Serving
the Children”.
Through Kiwanis
membership, communities are improved, friendships are built,
leadership skills are developed, and business contacts are made. More
importantly, the lives of children around the world are changed for
the better.
As a group, we can achieve what individuals cannot do alone. There are more than 8,000 Kiwanis clubs with nearly 260,000 members in 96 nations. Clubs are dedicated to “Serving the Children of the World” and children in their own communities.

Kiwanis Club of Forest City
The Kiwanis Club of Forest City was established on February 11, 1924 and has continued to serve Rutherford County through community service and fundraising. The club has approximately 50 members who raise an average of $18,000 per year and perform an average of 200 volunteer hours per month.
Membership in the Kiwanis Club of Forest City offers many benefits. Club members meet each Monday for lunch providing an opportunity to meet and network with other community business leaders or visit with trusted friends. Each week there is a program by a guest speaker about current events or issues affecting our community. Throughout the year, there are many projects, both large and small, suited for the talents and desires of any member who wishes to become involved in community service.
Our club meets every Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Forest City in the Family Life Center. The meeting begins at 12:00 with lunch provided by Brooks Catering, the program begins at 12:30, and the meeting usually adjourns shortly after 1:00.
We have great fun and fellowship - so please come join us!
