Kiwanis Fundraisers

In order to support our community service projects, we conduct three major fundraisers annually. One hundred percent of the money raised through these events is spent on community service projects.

SPAGHETTI SUPPER

The biggest event for Forest City Kiwanis is the Spaghetti Supper. For the past three years, it has produced the most revenue of our fundraisers. The supper is held in October and annually coincides with the Chase High vs East Rutherford High School football game. We hold the dinner in the cafeteria of the "home team."  We provide spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and beverages.  We commonly feed 400 to 600 people!! Tickets are sold in advance and at the door ($5 adults, $2 children).  To earn additional monies for our service projects, we sell ad sponsorships to area businesses.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Each spring, we host our annual Pancake Breakfast at the Dunbar Elementary School cafeteria.  The event begins on a Saturday morning at 6:00 am with a few loyal attendees waiting at the door.  We enjoy serving pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy plus coffee and juice.  Tickets are sold in advance and at the door for $5 for adults and $2 for children.  Take out service is available.  Additional revenues for this event come from area businesses in the form of ad sponsorships.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

In the spring, we hold our annual Golf Tournament at Meadowbrook Golf Course. This event is also a revenue-builder, through team entry fees and hole sponsorships. The golf tournament is also a great day of fellowship for Kiwanians and our friends.
